Inside the Form 3+ is a redesigned optics engine, the Light Processing Unit (LPU), which contains a system of lenses and mirrors that delivers accurate, repeatable prints. Within the LPU, a galvanometer positions the high-density laser beam in the Y direction, passes it through a spatial filter, and directs it to a fold mirror and parabolic mirror to consistently deliver the beam perpendicular to the build plane.

The Form Wash and Form Cure streamline your 3D printing process to help you produce high-quality parts with less time and effort. Originally, these solutions were developed to automate post-processing for the Form 2 and Form 3+. If you are printing smaller parts (14.5 x 14.5 x 18.5 cm) on the Form 3L, the Form Wash and Form Cure may still be viable solutions.
AUTOMATE CLEANING WITH FORM WASH
The Form Wash agitates isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to flow around your parts to get them perfectly clean and raises parts to air dry once finished.

Can a Form 3/Form 3B user upgrade to a Form 3+/Form 3B+?
How can I identify if I have a Form 3+ or Form 3B+?
There is a label on the back of each printer that will indicate the type of printer you own. A plus symbol in the bottom right corner of that label indicates whether or not you have a Form 3+/Form 3B+.
Does the Form 3B+ come with Build Platform 2?
At this time, Build Platform 2 is available as an add-on to a printer purchase or as an independent accessory. It is not included in any current Form 3+ or Form 3B+ packages.
What is the difference between Form 3+ and Form 3B+?
Both printers utilize Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) technology. This reduces peel forces and improves surface finish. The difference between the printers is Form 3B+ is primarily for the dental industry. Form 3+ is for various industries.
What is the average lifespan of a Formlabs printer?
The lifespan of your printer depends on many factors. However, all Formlabs printers must pass a rigorous endurance test. The 36-month design operation test ensures a long-lasting, quality printer.
