MINNEAPOLIS, January 26, 2009 – EAC Product Development Solutions (EAC), a leading provider of engineering products and services, today announced that Machining & Welding by Olsen, Inc., the Minnesota-based industrial equipment manufacturer and consultant, has selected Windchill® ProductPoint™ as its product data management (PDM) solution.
Machining & Welding by Olsen uses PTC® Pro/ENGINEER® as its CAD solution to design and manufacture complex machinery such as overhead lifting devices. After attending an EAC seminar featuring Windchill ProductPoint, PTC’s new Microsoft SharePoint®-based solution for product development, Machining & Welding by Olsen was impressed by ProductPoint’s ease-of-use and ability to manage their CAD data. A follow-up meeting revealed the benefit of sharing parts and assemblies among multiple engineers, as well as version management and file locking.
