The Arbortext Publishing Engine (formerly E3) is a server-based system that pulls XML and SGML content from a file system or content management system, assembles that content for different audiences, and automatically publishes the assembled content in both print and electronic forms, all with high-quality layout and formatting. Because Arbortext Publishing Engine offers an integral connection to PTC’s Windchill, there are particular efficiencies to be gained through its use on the context of PTC’s Product Development System.
Organizations increasingly rely on the Internet to communicate technical information to a wide variety of audiences. Most often, the posted documents are static, with equally static illustrations. However, technical publications become much more valuable-and much more readable- when users can interact with the graphical content. There is an increasing need to provide illustration tools that enable readers to zoom, rotate, or otherwise manipulate the illustrated content. Arbortext IsoView gives you that capability.
Arbortext Dynamic Link Manager (formerly DCAM) is designed to help users create and manage the relationships among document components. The relationships that Arbortext Dynamic Link Manager (DLM) manages are primarily links: links within a document (intra-document links); links among documents (inter-document links); and references between documents and graphic files (media links).
Arbortext Dynamic Link Manager’s capabilities become especially important in two circumstances:
Arbortext Digital Media Publisher (formerly Arbortext CD-ROM Composer) enables you to assemble files and folders to publication on multiple types of digital media and to Web applications. Users access the digital media using any common Web browser.
With Arbortext Digital Media Publisher, you can easily support complex applications that include multiple languages, volumes and document types. The product's fully customizable interface also ensures that you deliver your information in an application uniquely suited to your specific requirements.
Advanced Print Publisher is used throughout the world to automate the production of complex printed documents such as STM (Scientific/Technical/Medical) journals, legal documents, technical documentation, catalogs and directories. In addition to reducing costs and production time, automation also gives publishers the flexibility to update information more frequently and to produce publications in more variations for multiple target audiences.
